Update On Nick's Condition

Well here is the story on what happened.  I was working for Trafftech in one of there bucket trucks removing a intersection and the signals.  We pulled up to the main pole where the power was connected to the the top of the pole, I needed to get to the top to disconnect it from the line, the truck wouldn't reach from the road so we backed it up in the grass behind the pole on  a slight hill and set the parking brake.  When I was bouncing around in the bucket it broke something loose and the truck started moving backwards, I yelled "THE TRUCK IS MOVING " then it was to late I hit the pole with the front of the the bucket and the bucket collapsed on impact and into me crushing my pelvis and my bladder, I yelled " GET IT OFF ME GET IT OFF ME " then Dom (My boss and friend) jumped in the truck and hammered the gas and pulled the truck forward and the bucket un-collapsed around me.

Now I knew I was in trouble I was laying on the corner of the the bucket up in the air and I was getting cold and passed out, Just then I heard someone yelling at me it was Danny he woke me up, Then the EMS got there and put me in the ambulance and that was all I remember for 2 1/2 weeks.

Well they shipped me by ambulance to Huron hospital where they started treatment, when they couldn't do any more for me they life-flighted me to Metro Trauma Hospital, where they took great care of me, they did surgery  to repair my bladder and put a stint in it, also put pins in my pelvis with bars to keep it straight, well I was so swelled up they couldn't close me back up so they had to put gauze over my hole and hope the swelling goes down to close me back up. I was in in ICU for 2 1/2 weeks and I was so doped up I don't remember a thing, I was on a breathing machine feeding tube the whole nine yards. Oh yah they had to give me 6 units of blood because I was so messed up.

1 Month later I'm at Hillside rehab hospital learning to walk again and they are talking about sending me home Monday Oct 16th.

I just want to thank everyone who has helped out Bridget and my whole family I never knew I had so many friends and people who care, I love all of you and couldn't have gotten though this without all of you.

And Bridget I love you so much you have to be the strongest person I know and have ever known with all of this happening, and your mom going in the hospital at the same time and with Nicky and Dylan 24-7,  Driving back and forth to Cleveland everyday to be with me.

 I love you

But I'm getting  better

Here is a picture of the skin graph from my leg this hurts worse then everything I've been through, every time I move it pulls on the mesh and feels like I'm pulling off my skin.
